RESPONSE TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES 2016 SCHOOL EMERGENCY SAFETY GRANT RECIPIENT

CINCINNATI, OH – June 28, 2016 – Response Technologies Ltd. is pleased to announce it has selected the North Franklin School District in Connell, Washington, as the recipient of its School Emergency Safety Grant for 2016. As the recipient of the grant, North Franklin School District will receive a complete Centurion Elite® Emergency Notification System. Response Technologies considered K-12 public school applicants from throughout the U.S. before selecting North Franklin as its grant recipient.

The North Franklin School District is one of the largest districts geographically in the state of Washington. The Centurion Elite® meets the needs for a district like North Franklin School District, as its’ PCDuress® virtual panic software can span long distances that otherwise could not be done on a single, easy to manage, system. In case of an emergency, the Centurion Elite® can be activated by a hotkey combination from a PCDuress® equipped computer. Upon activation, the Centurion Elite® will coordinate an immediate response from local and county law enforcement through a location-specific notification sent directly over two-way radios to first responders.

“We believe this system will play a key role in enhancing the security of our facilities. Our school district is ready to take the next step in emergency preparedness, and the Centurion Elite® will allow us to do that.” said Gregg Taylor, superintendent, North Franklin School District.

Like most schools across the country, North Franklin School District has limited funding to address safety. The district was informed of the School Emergency Grant through the local police department. They submitted a detailed application explaining their current security efforts and how the Centurion Elite® could take those efforts to the next level.

“It’s our privilege to provide peace of mind to North Franklin School District. Students, teachers and staff are the lifeblood of our local communities and are our future. It’s critical for school facilities to be prepared during a duress situation because saving seconds can save lives,” said Andy Morrison, President, Response Technologies. The value of the system is approximately $20,000 and includes installation and training for select school staff. Installation will be scheduled by the end of 2016, pending coordination with North Franklin School District and local law enforcement.
